Corinna's time at home

2014 June - 2015 January

Corinna was looked after at home by carers who visited her several times a day as she was not able to walk and had lost the use of her right hand. Along with the District Nurses and other medical professionals the Rennie Grove Hospice nurses provided invaluable support and advice as we coped with the changes in her condition. As a family we were able to enjoy a wonderful holiday in her sister's cottage in Dorset in August. In all the time family and church visited Corinna faithfully, and supported the boys and Chris. At the end Corinna passed away peacefully and without pain on 15th January 2015. We felt it a great mercy that she had experienced no headaches or epileptic fits at any stage, and that she maintained her essential characteristic generosity, humour and faith to the end.
