A beautifully sunny day with a dusting of snow saw Chris Shepherd and Corinna Matthews become husband and wife. Chris and Corinna had met in church (Amersham Old Town Baptist church) in September 1983 after Chris started his first job, teaching job at Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham. The occasion was the youth pastor saying "Everyone under 50 should get out into the aisles and dance". They organised a church group for "20-somethings" called Crosslink and thus ended up seeing each other 4 times a week... Romance blossomed, and they got engaged in the Autumn of 1984.
